Easyspace, one of the largest Web Service providers in the UK, has been awarded the title of "No .1 Dedicated Servers" for its range of high quality dedicated servers.

The award comes from the influential Web Host Directory who, each month, encourages its visitors to for vote for the Top Web Hosts in each of its Web Host related categories. At the end of each month the Web Host Directory awards panel visits the top voted Web Hosts in each category, and determines which are most worthy of receiving an award.

The award reflects the recent changes across the Easyspace Dedicated Server range, including the launch of newer, more advanced units housing powerful DualCore and QuadCore Xeon processors.

Additional improvements to the dedicated server offering from Easyspace included the bundling of a Plesk Control Panel, FREE SSL certificate an increase in disk space, an increase in RAM and the scrapping of all setup fees on all servers.

As well as launching the new range of servers, Easyspace also launched a new Budget Server section on easyspace.com, offering slightly older specification servers at knock down prices.

Easyspace, one of the largest Virtual Server providers in the UK, is now offering Windows based Virtual Private Servers to sit alongside its existing Linux based VPS products.

In line with the existing Linux packages, Windows Virtual Servers are being sold as Standard and Premium packages, costing £11.95 per month and £22.95 per month respectively. Additionally, like the existing Linux offering, Windows servers are available with Dual Xeon Processors, up to 512MB dedicated Ram and up to 40GB HD.

Easyspace has been named as a finalist in the Best Shared Hosting Services category at this year’s ISPA Awards.

The ISPAs - the UK Internet industry awards - are unique as they are awarded to people and organisations in the industry by their peers and reflect the broad nature of the internet services sector.

Companies that have been nominated in a hosting category have been judged on a range of criteria including: performance, value for money, customer support, data centre security, quality standards and product portfolio.

All entrants in the ISPA hosting categories were subjected to physical service testing by Epitiro, an independent organisation that provides a range of benchmarking performance services across dial up, cable, broadband and wireless connections. Over a period of 3 months, Epitiro configured a satellite to periodically download a file from Easyspace’s servers in order to measure availability and non-cached download speed.

System Status:
As with the support ticketing system, the system status pages have always been there. However, they've now been given greater prominence within the support section and have had an overhaul to make them clearer. We use our system status pages to inform on major outages, server issues and anything else about your service that we feel you need to know. Try downloading the status RSS feed to keep up-to-date with status updates.
